Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

Desert Market Brief ("we," "us," or "our") publishes short, data-driven video briefs about the Greater Phoenix commercial real estate market. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the limited ways we interact with third-party social media platforms. It applies to this website and to the software we operate to produce and publish our own content.

1. Who we are

Desert Market Brief is an independent content publisher operated by Lance Porter, based in Arizona, United States. You can reach us at lance.porter1@outlook.com.

2. Information we collect

3. Our use of social platform APIs

We use the official APIs of TikTok, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and Google (YouTube) solely to publish our own content to our own accounts and to read analytics about our own posts. Specifically:

Your use of TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube is also governed by those platforms' own privacy policies and terms.

3a. YouTube API Services

Our application uses YouTube API Services. Specifically, it uses the YouTube Data API v3 videos.insert endpoint (OAuth scope youtube.upload) to upload our own videos to our own YouTube channel. It does not read, collect, store, or display any YouTube user data — not our own channel's data and not any other user's. By using our application you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Information handled through Google APIs is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can review or revoke our application's access to your Google account at any time via the Google security settings page.

4. How we use information

5. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share information only with the service providers that host our website and deliver our content (for example, our web host and the social platforms we publish to), and only as needed to operate. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Data retention and security

We keep account access tokens and analytics only as long as needed to operate our publishing workflow, and we protect them with encryption and access controls. Email you send us is retained only as long as needed to respond and keep records.

7. Your rights

You may contact us at lance.porter1@outlook.com to ask what information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion, or to opt out of future email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we will honor applicable requests.

8. Children's privacy

Our content and services are intended for a professional adult audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
